
(June, 2009—Los Angeles, CA) The 15th Annual Los Angeles Art Show returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center January 20-24, 2010. Presented by the Fine Art Dealers Association (FADA) and KR Martindale Show Management this encyclopedic art event will feature more than 130 international exhibitors, an engaging lecture series and special events program, a sculpture garden, and special exhibit spaces, including graduate work from California’s acclaimed art schools, and fun-filled evening mixer events.
The Los Angeles Art Show continues to be the largest art fair on the West Coast and a must-see for both the art connoisseur and the arts-curious. With 2009 posting a record-breaking attendance of 35 000 visitors and exceptional sales, the 2010 show promises to be larger and more encompassing. Works sold at the 2009 show include pieces by: Charles Partridge Adams, Jasper Johns, Robert Motherwell, Rembrandt, Ed Rusha, Julian Schnabel & Emerson Woelffer.
Always a star-studded affair, the 2010 Opening Night Preview on Wednesday, January 27th, will benefit the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Inner City Arts (additional benefiting organizations to be announced). 2009 attending luminaries included political figures such as: the Deputy Consul General of Argentina, Fernando Brun; the Consul General of France, David Martinon, Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs Director, Olga Garay and Councilman Tom La Bonge. Well known actors including: Lisa Ling, Diane Keaton, Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Bacon, Barbara Striesand, Victor Garber, Brad Garrett, Rhea Pearlman, Danny Devito, Martin Sheen, Emilio Estevez, Eric La Salle, Robert La Sardo, Payton McDavitt, Hart Bochner, Hunter Tylo, and Mark Oberhofer are in regular attendance, as well as arts patrons including Billie Weissman.
