Born in Maastricht, the Netherlands in 1957, Peter Bremers began his artistic journey with an early fascination for design, architecture, and light. Trained initially as a sculptor, his work first took shape as light-based installations before a pivotal encounter with glassblowing redirected his practice. Captivated by the luminous qualities of molten glass, Bremers pursued advanced studies at the Jan van Eyck Institute and apprenticed with leading Dutch glass artists, developing a deep understanding of glass as a medium of light, color, and form.

Across all bodies of work, Bremers explores the relationship between the physical and the spiritual, using glass to reflect energy, movement, introspection, and human connection.
