CELEBRATING DIVERSITY: PRIDE FLAG UNFURLED BY CHIACHIO & GIANNONE (Q&A)

To commemorate local and international LGBTQ+ communities around the world, the artists will unfurl the 120 ft. long textile flag, MOLAA’s new acquisition “Californian Family in Six Colors 1” created by the artists at MOLAA where more than 3,000 members of the Long Beach and Los Angeles community collaborated in the creation of the flag.

Synopsis: Howard Taylor, brother of actress Elizabeth, bails out a rag-tag band of young Mainlanders jailed for vagrancy and invites them to live on his oceanfront land. Before and after the screening and panel on Friday and the screening on Saturday, Wehrheim will be signing his Taylor Camp book and The Edge of Paradise DVD in Booth #1005.

DIVERSITY WALKS AND TALKS BY MISS ART WORLD (PERFORMANCE)

The “Diversity Walks and Talks” performance invites individual proclaimers of LA’s culture to strut the runway in celebration of their uniqueness, showcasing LA’s diversity. Their interviews will play during the runway either in video or audio format. Spectators will also be recruited live to walk the runway.

Kamiji recreates historical works such as Japanese Buddhist sculptures or statues of David for modern times as if they were living people. The artist will be demonstrating his creative process and sensitive technology throughout the show working on Goliath, which appears in the work of the Renaissance master Caravaggio.
